TEFL – a day in the life
I was teaching English to a few 13 year old’s the other day. It was the last class of the day, around 6pm and these kids have probably been learning since 8 or 9am. Motivation was running a little low, to say the least.
I was trying to communicate to them why it was so important for them to focus and learn English. I took the angle of drawing out a pie chart. Showing more than half the world speaking English – the language they were learning, and a small chunk speaking Korean – their native tongue.
I explained, if they wanted to travel or work internationally or even in higher positions in Korea, they’d need to understand some English.
Teaching English as a second language..
If you are a native English speaker, you’ve already won a lottery you may not know of. The opportunity to travel around the world and teach English abroad. It pays great, and it’s an extraordinary experience.

You have picked a niche, set up some key pages on your website and are ready to learn about writing website content and how it can generate traffic.
This article is more traffic generation focused, than it has to do with style or prose.
How to write content that will generate organic website traffic
Honestly, the easy parts of choosing a website niche and starting your own website are done. Now you’ve got to start writing website content that people will find, want to read and hopefully use or benefit from.
That makes it sound kind of tedious doesn’t it?
It’s not! Remember the niche you’ve picked is something you already know and find interesting, or that you are eager to research and learn more about. Now you get to transform your ideas and thoughts into words for consumption and enjoyment.
I want to travel.
That statement above seems to be the voice of this current generation called millennials. I think travel has always been in style, it’s just more accessible than it’s ever been and with social media and the internet, you can literally talk to your friends and family daily yet be on the other side of the world.
So most people want to travel. But there seems to be this underlying stigma that you need to be a trustfund baby to travel. So the questions is ‘do you need money to travel? Can you travel without money?’

Choosing a domain name
No stress, but this tiny little aspect of your website or blog is very important. It’s how people will find you, and remember you. Likewise, if you choose incorrectly you can miss organic traffic, lose people to similar named sites and turn people off.
Those are just some necessary precautions on making a choice. Don’t overthink it – maybe hard now after those warnings – and let a silly name get in the way of building your site. A good name executed is better than a great name procrastinated upon, every time.
A few tips to remember when making your choice on a domain name:
The power of the cold shower
A while back I gave a short autobiographical account on how I got into a – relatively – healthy lifestyle . I mention there, how it all started with skin deep desires of looking good to get attention of the opposite sex. Not to say that particular driver isn’t still relevant, but the reasons why I currently aim to live a more wholesome lifestyle has gone a bit deeper.
To feel and perform better in other aspects of my life.
Since this path has consumed me, I’ve looked for more ways to gain an edge and improve my wellbeing even further. Martial arts, particular habits – the removal of various destructive ones, meditation, etc. The list goes ever on.
One certain practice that’s gained my attention, and popularity over the last decade is the cold shower. It also goes by ice bath, and cryotherapy.
